At this time of tremendous change when many wonder how to lead effectively, Acadia Divinity College is offering a new opportunity in a new location for church leaders to be equipped for ministry in the 21st century. From Monday morning, September 21 to Friday afternoon, September 25, the course “Bringing Renewal to Established Congregations” will be offered in a retreat format at Greenhill Lake Camp.

The 54th Commissioning Service
Sermon Title: Living Leadership
Scripture: Numbers 27:12-23; Acts 1:1-8
Since 1962, an annual Commissioning Service has been held for graduating students. The Commissioning Service is one of the spiritual high points of the school year. It is not a graduation but is the College's way of sending off the leaving students with its love and prayerful support. The departing students are commissioned to fulfill their ministry in Christ's Church as they have opportunity.

There is new spiritual vitality, new opportunity for outreach, and a renewed understanding of the church’s mission. Churches and their leaders are learning what it means to make disciples in the 21st century in Atlantic Canada.
Renewal IS possible, and it is happening here. When you join us for the Simpson Lectures at ADC this winter, you will be inspired, encouraged, and equipped to lead renewal in your own local context. The 2015 Simpson Lectures will provide a practical forum on renewal in the local church.
