What if pastors and church leaders could get away for a one-week retreat to be re-equipped for mission and ministry?
At this time of tremendous change when many wonder how to lead effectively, Acadia Divinity College is offering a new opportunity in a new location for church leaders to be equipped for ministry in the 21st century. From Monday morning, September 21 to Friday afternoon, September 25, the course “Bringing Renewal to Established Congregations” will be offered in a retreat format at Greenhill Lake Camp.
This five-day retreat experience will provide an exceptional opportunity to take a full seminary course, either for credit or as an auditor, and also to get away in a retreat setting to focus together with other leaders on how to be the church in these challenging and exciting times. This retreat at Greenhill Lake Camp is a continuing education opportunity that will make a practical difference in your ministry and in your church.
Dr. Steve McMullin will provide a theological and practical basis for church renewal while drawing from his own years of experience as a pastor and from his ongoing congregational research in Atlantic Canada and beyond. Participants will learn unexpected reasons why many congregations fall into decline and die, but more importantly they will receive clear guidance about how to lead a church to new life and meaningful mission. This course has been designed specifically for church leaders in Atlantic Canada; Acadia Divinity College, the Convention of Atlantic Baptist Churches, and Greenhill Lake Camp are joining together to provide this opportunity for pastors and leaders.
