He returned to Acadia in 1993 to assume his position as the professor of biblical languages and ADC librarian, and in 2003 he succeeded Dr. Timothy Ashley as the professor of Old Testament Studies.

In his formative years, Glenn attended the Edith Avenue Baptist Church. He became a Christian in the summer of 1974 while at Camp Tulakadik on Cassidy Lake in New Brunswick. Since moving to the Annapolis Valley in 1981, he has pastored three congregations. Since 1993, he and Darlene have been active members of the Third Horton Baptist Church in Canaan, Nova Scotia, where they live.

While at Atlantic Baptist College, Glenn met Darlene Harnish of Greywood, Nova Scotia, and they married in 1978. They have adult children and six grandchildren.
